This international competition has launched the careers of countless major artists over the past 50 years. Today’s program features recent winners of the competition in a special Russian-American program.

MISCHA BOUVIER
Praised by San Francisco Classical Voice for his “immensely sympathetic, soulful voice,” Mischa is known for his tremendous communication skills and musicality. In 2012, Bouvier performed his New York City debut at Weill Hall at Carnegie. This past season has included performances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, the Carmel Bach Festival, as well as many others.

JAY CAMPBELL
Hailed as an “astonishing cellist” (Seen and Heard International) and for his performances which “conveyed every nuance” (The New York Times), Jay Campbell has earned awards from BMI and ASCAO Foundations which led to collaborations with such artists as Elliott Carter and Pierre Boulez to members of Radiohead. Recently, he performed as soloist in his New York Philharmonic debut, as well as collaborated with members of both the Takacs and Kronos quartets.

DARIA RABOTKINA
Winner of the 2007 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, pianist Daria Rabotkina’s early career began with solo appearances with the San Francisco and New World symphonies under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas. She has also earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees from Mannes College of Music where she studied with Vladimir Fletsman and is completing her doctorate from the Eastman School of Music.
