Viva Verdi!
Dinner with David, 5:45 PM
Pre-Concert Talk with Dr. Elizabeth Seitz, 7 PM
In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi’s birth, we honor his musical genius with a performance of his singular string quartet and the Lady Macbeth’s "Sleepwalking Aria" from his popular opera Macbeth. This opera was the first of Shakespeare’s plays which Verdi adapted for the operatic stage and preceded his most popular operas such as La Traviata and Rigoletto.
