Techung is an internationally acclaimed Tibetan folk and freedom singer currently serving as Artist in Residence at Emory University. Techung and his band uniquely combine traditional and contemporary Tibetan music to convey a message of peace, freedom, and courage to help advocate for peace in Tibet. Accompanied by Michel Tyabji (percussion, producer), Rinzing Wangyal (guitar) and Kito Rodriguez (multi-instrumentalist), Techung shows audiences around the world that the message and melody of Tibetan music is as meaningful and irresistible as it was in ancient Tibet.

Students for a Free Tibet and internationally acclaimed artist Techung invite music and peace lovers of all ages to a special benefit concert. This extraordinary evening celebrates the power of music to inspire peace around the world. Please join us for this inaugural benefit event at the Shalin Liu Performance Center to support freedom and peace in Tibet.
