When Bret Williams takes the stage at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, he will be the first classical guitarist to play a solo concert in Rockport Music’s beautiful hall. This “alluring” and “accomplished” musician (Classical Guitar Magazine) from central California comes to the Shalin Liu to demonstrate his "energetic, warm and polished sound" (NPR), as he plays works for Latin classical guitar. A rising star on the classical guitar scene, Mr. Williams has recently appeared alongside Metropolitan Opera tenor Ronald Naldi at the Summer Stars Chamber Music Festival, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
