Committed to presenting high-caliber performances to diverse audiences, Classical Jam (CJ) is a vibrant ensemble comprised of flute, violin, viola, cello and percussion. Best known for its engaging performances, thought-provoking concert themes, and creative programming, Classical Jam brings a modern perspective to the music of the renaissance, classical, and contemporary periods alongside CJ original compositions and improvisations. Classical Jam has garnered the attention from distinguished artist series and educational programs throughout the country including the Lincoln Center Meet The Artist Series, Caramoor Music Festival, and Strathmore Music Center. In 2009, CJ received the Cary Trust Fund for Contemporary Music Projects and a grant from the Puffin Foundation.
The program will conclude with a Classical Master Jam -- a musical collaboration with Rockport High School students resulting from an improvisational workshop the Classical Jam musicians are conducting with the students earlier on Friday. LEARN MORE about the Workshop (Free, Open to the Public)
