About the Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras

NMYO is the premier youth orchestra program serving northeast Massachusetts to southern New Hampshire. Our student musicians represent more than 40 towns – from Rockport to Andover to Portsmouth, NH – and range in age from elementary through high school. NMYO musicians play string, wind, brass, and percussion instruments in eight ensembles.

Led by Music Director Gerald Dolan, with an accomplished team of music professionals, NMYO creates community connections and collaborations for its young players. The regular rehearsal and concert schedule is supplemented with master classes, enrichment days, chamber music coaching, community service outreach concerts to underserved populations, and a composer in residence program.

Proceeds from this unique performance will benefit special programs, community outreach concerts and NMYO’s scholarship fund.
