Enriching Lives Through Great Music…You Make It Happen

Under the visionary leadership of Artistic Director David Deveau, Rockport Music is committed to sustaining the artistic excellence for which it has become renowned over the past 30 years. Our inaugural season in the Shalin Liu Performance Center was a resounding success, and now your gift is important to fund expanded artistic programming, free community events, and educational outreach programs for Cape Ann school children. The success of Rockport Music has only been possible because of our donors’ conviction that great music is important and worthy of support.  In other words, you – and other generous supporters like you – make it happen.

Please join us by making a gift today. It’s an exciting time to be a part of Rockport Music!

Congress reinstates IRA Charitable Rollover for 2010 and 2011
On December 16, Congress approved a broad tax package that includes reinstatement of the IRA Charitable Rollover giving incentive, a top policy priority for music halls and the broader nonprofit community. This giving incentive is retroactively reinstated for charitable gifts made during 2010, and extended throughout 2011. Also, gifts made by January 31, 2011 may be recognized as 2010 gifts for tax purposes. The IRA Rollover allows donors 70-1/2 and older to make up to $100,000 in charitable contributions directly from their individual retirement accounts (IRAs) without paying federal taxes on the withdrawal. This has proven to be an important giving incentive, resulting in new and increased charitable giving to a full range of nonprofit organizations. With the Rollover, Rockport Music can receive 2010 gifts through the end of January 2011. The 2011 Rollover will expire on December 31, 2011. More information on the IRA Charitable Rollover is available at here. To learn how to make a gift from your IRA account, please contact Sara Young, Development Officer, at 978.546.7391 ext. 106 or syoung@rockportmusic.org.
