Who are we?
We’re the people who love the Rockport Chamber Music Festival.
Built on volunteerism, the Friends number over 250 members and volunteers.
We’re committed to promoting and supporting the Festival’s
vital role for music lovers in Rockport and beyond.
What do we do?
The Friends support the Festival by providing warm and welcome hospitality
for the annual June concerts. This is our major undertaking. We
also participate in off season concerts and other activities throughout
the year. In addition, we support annual concerts by assisting with
fund raising. Events in which we take part include the following:
Rockport Chamber Music Festival in June. The June
Festival includes 16 concerts featuring world-renowned musicians
and is currently held in the Rockport Art Association. Free family
concerts augment this musical offering. Off season concerts complement
the summer performances.
Cottages & Castles. This fundraising event
provides a peek inside some of Rockport’s most charming homes.
A Taste of Excellence & The Last Hurrah
An elegant dinner and auction provide another opportunity to benefit
the Festival..
Motif #1 Day, Harvest Festival, and Christmas in Rockport.
These are times to participate with community groups to enjoy traditional
hometown gatherings.
Special Benefits for Friends:
• Attend the April Friends’ Kick Off Party to open the
June Festival season
• Preview the 2007 June Festival concert schedule
• Help with the June Festival, and earn a complimentary ticket
to a concert
• Receive the “Behind the Notes” newsletter
