Twenty-four-year-old jazz vocalist Rachael Price has amassed an impressive resume for her age. Born in Australia and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Price grew up listening to her father’s recordings of the great jazz singers of the 20th century. In 2003, she recorded her first album, Dedicated to You, a collection of standards in honor of Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Nat King Cole, and others. That same year, she was selected as a vocalist by the Grammy Foundation for their National High School Jazz Choir, and went on to become the youngest semi-finalist in the Montreux International Jazz Vocal Competition in Europe. Ms. Price completed a degree in Jazz Studies at New England Conservatory in 2008 while also maintaining an active performing and touring schedule. She recently released her third CD The Good Hours.
